The Creative Process is Messy

At least it is for me. I have a place for everything and everything is in it's place for the most part but when I make cards or scrapbook I have to pull everything out and it always looks like a tornado hit. 

The mess always gets cleaned up but it can be daunting. It's my business so I can always remind myself that this is how I raise money for my eldest son's medical trips but it's still a process. I'm trying to streamline the process and that's fun. How do you make it work? What does your creative space look like? Are you more like Martha Stewart or like the Mad Hatter?

I have a copy of the new catalog!

I was so excited to finally get my own copy of 2014-2015 Idea Book that I came up with a way to tab each section of the catalog.

Here's how I did it. 

I started out with my favorite punch.

I scored the center of the label and folded it.

I added some snail adhesive and voila!

Washi tape trick

If you take washi tape and lay it out on wax paper or plain scrap paper. Then you take your favorite punch or a die machine like a Big Shot and cut out your shape. If you used wax paper, you can peel off the shape and place it where you want it.
