Personal goal

I have wanted the Big Shot for so long. The ability to emboss and cut larger pieces of paper is so alluring. 

This is one of my personal goals. There are so many accessories that go along with it that I will stay busy building my collection of awesome tools!

A few of my favorite things

One of the things I picked for my starter kit is the Retro Fresh journal. I adore the camera on the cover.

The above picture shows a mini album. I love journals of all kinds and this is no exception.

Busy weekend

I didn't get as much finished as I wanted to but considering how much time I had, I feel accomplished. I made four cards and decopauged my clipboard. Once I find a card style I feel is popular, I will make multiples. But I'm in the R&D phase of my card making. I adore my journals but I need to get some cards made.

A new technique

This card is a prototype of sorts. I had the tools to do stitch work on cards but I've never tried. The most important thing is a good embroidery needle. I want to try a more elaborate stitch but a simple straight line was a good place to start. 

It was much easier to do than I imagined and I would love to demonstrate the technique if you are curious how I did it. 

Clipboard redo

I've had this plain clipboard for years and I finally decided to decorate it. The paper is from an old designer series paper from 2009 but I love music so it just seemed right to start with that. 

 

Then I covered it with various ephemera and things from friends and family. After I added my information, I covered it with Modge Podge. It makes me happy even if it's a bit cluttered.
